Property Description
Private and picturesque 480 sq ft. log cabin is the only
dwelling on our 3.5-acre lake. This is part of our parcel
of 85 acres of woods, steams, meadows and even a gorge!
Located in the northern portion of Dutchess County in the
beautiful Hudson Valley we are close to the historic towns
and mansions of Rhinebeck, Hyde Park, and Millbrook and
only 2 hours from mid-town Manhattan.
The cabin has a large living room with stone fireplace,
large picture window overlooking the covered front porch
and lake, a queen sized sofa bed, and dining table.
There is a kitchen equipped with all that's necessary to
cook a full meal (microwave, stove top, toaster over,
all utensils, etc) as well as an outdoor gas grill and
also a charcoal BBQ if you prefer.
The covered front porch has cushioned
furniture and 2 hanging rope chairs that are very comfortable!!
There is a very large outdoor picnic table as well as
hammocks and chairs hanging from trees near the cabin.
Good outdoor lighting. A rowboat is available for your use if you so desire.
There are some marked hiking trails and some unmarked
terrain for the more adventurous that like to explore in the woods.
Features and Activities
For a quiet and secluded vacation our Hudson Valley Cabin is the place to be.
You can spend your entire time on the grounds relaxing in our hammock or
hanging chairs, hiking, swimming in or rowing on the lake. We are only 3
miles from the town of Stanfordville where there is a good restaurant, a
grocery store, and even a pharmacy!!
We also have some board games in the cabin - We
offer satellite TV as well as a selection of board games - and there is a
fireplace
If you are looking for more action, the Hudson Valley is full of special
places and events. There are many historic sights, museums, wineries,
and mansions to visit. We are "loaded" with antique shops and fine restaurants
and are very close to the Old Rhinebeck Aerodrome. And the scenery is delightful.
And Hudson River boat trips are available from Kingston which is also a
close distance from us.
Skiing at Hunter, Windham, Butternut, and/or Jiminy Peak is only 1-¼ hours from here.

Amenities
We offer you a fully equipped kitchen and outdoor cooking facilities.
We also provide all linens for your use.
Want wood for the fireplace - we have it!
Rates
Weekly rentals are preferred.
Rates are $1400.00 per week (plus tax).
Check-in is anytime after 3:00 on Friday and departure must be by
11 am the following Friday.
A $600 security deposit is required
which will be returned after inspection of the premises.
Payment in full is required 4 weeks prior to arrival.
Weekend reservations accepted from September through May at $225/night plus
prevailing taxes (2 night minimum). Weekend bookings accepted in June,
July, and August only on a last minute basis if there is availability.
