Property Description
A new private home located "on the
hill" in a quiet, very prestigious area
of Saugatuck. Queen sofa sleeper in living room /
queen sofa sleeper in Fla room / blow up bed.
Located in town just
above the activities. Just walk down
the steps and you are in town which
boasts the largest boardwalk on Lake
Michigan.
There are so many extra amenities, we
can't list them all!
Well-behaved pets are welcome. We
understand they are part of your family.
(small charge for additional
cleaning).
We have a fuel fireplace and paddle
fans along with central air
conditioning. We have a shared in-ground
pool behind the house.
The "Mason House" is built on the site
of the old Saugatuck High School - prime
property, so we retained the old mature
oak trees. There are three new homes on
this block. A bit of history - the steps
lead to the drug store that still has
the working soda bar. All 35 of the
high school students would run down the
steps after school for a soda!
Speaking of cleaning, we have a cleaning
service. Many homes in the area do not
provide this service.
Features and Activities
Saugatuck is a 4-season town! In
summer enjoy the water ways and Oval
Beach, the woods and the miles and
miles of private sand dunes with
glorious scenery as you stroll the
lakeshore.
There are alot of water sports & upscale
restaurants to pizza parlors.
Saugatuck has the only hand cranked chain ferry in the midwest.
Mt .Baldhead by the Dunes has 136
steps to climb which overlooks Lake
Michigan. There are 4-season water sports & winter
snow activities also.
Oval Beach has a restaurant, grill,
picnic tables and showers for your all
day enjoyment. If you prefer, water
sport rentals are available. Take a
dinner cruise, enjoy live theatre at
Red Barn Playhouse.
Premier golf courses,such as the
Ravines, the new Arnold Palmer course.
Tennis and bike riding, a playground,
horsebback riding are just some of the
activities. We have puzzles & board
games at the house.
The town sponsors free concerts in
Wicks Park.
Shoping is a delight with art galeries
abound. The speciality shops delight
everyone!
Enjoy home made ice cream while you
stroll the boarwalk lookin at the boats
and beaautiful water view. Dine
overlooking the water, or order a pizza
delivered.
Take the only chain ferry in the
midwest to Oval Beach (or drive). The
high school studnts run the chain
ferry. It is a delightful, fun ride.
There is full service grocery store in
town with video rentals, although we
also have videos at the house.
Fall boasts fun festivals and open
houses at the galleries. Winter brings
its magic with snow fantisies and horse
carriage rides with much more planned
every year. Spring is tulip time.
There is something for all ages - one
year to 90 years old!
