Holland Road Townhouse + Bed and Breakfast 6BR, 3BA, Sleeps 9-10
London, England
Property Description
This vast townhouse is to be found on the western edge of Kensington, close to High Street
Kensington and the exhibition halls of Olympia. Although it is located on the undeniably
busy Holland Road (with its mixed bag of small hotels and B & B's), this has not prevented
the owner from creating a family home of great warmth and comfort. First and foremost, the
house has been double-glazed, leaving much of the city's noise and grime out on the street
where it belongs. Inside, the house has the space and charm of an old country rectory, but
is decorated in the eclectic urban style of a world traveller. Perhaps best of all, the
house opens onto a small private garden to the lovely lawned communal gardens filled with
roses and mature trees.

A Note from the Owner: Often travel abroad (especially in the school holidays and
about 3 other months of the year) so am happy to rent the whole house - it is ideal for
one or two families of any age. I usually rent it for about £2,500 a week, but sometimes vary
it depending how many people there are and when they want to come.
When I am around, which is most of the time, I often have people for bed and breakfast or
even half board - then usually a couple or two couples, but I also welcome families. I
like people to treat this huge comfortable house as their own and provide several other
rooms apart from bedrooms for them to relax in - it's big enough for all of us to enjoy
privacy and space. I am a writer and the house is full of books (about 6000) and videos
and pictures. I usually charge £70 - 80 a night for a couple and less for their kids.
