Property Description
Our staffed beachfront villa commands
a panoramic view of the Caribbean 50
yards from the house -- just past our
private 50-foot lap pool and tennis and
croquet courts.
We're in an unspoiled fishing
village, friends we've known for 28
years, whose lives you may share and
photograph.
Our cook-housekeeper (with a second
maid if you're more than four) will
shop for you in advance, cook
(superbly!) and serve all meals -- your
cost about US$85/person for the week.
Features and Activities
You can walk the beach to our west
several miles and probably not
encounter another soul. To the east is
the fishing cove, where you'll feel
welcome, and a mile farther, the sort-
of tourist area of Calabash Bay, of
which Jake's is the centerpiece.
Daytrips include the Black River
marine morass, a naturalist's joy;
climbing beside the cataracts of YS
Falls, and more.
All rooms are screened with overhead
fans. There's a comfortable living
room for games and reading, and a wide
sun-sheltered patio overlooking the
sea -- plus other little garden areas
to read or birdwatch.
Summer temps never exceed 92 F;
winter lows never below 72 F; the sea is a
constant 80 F.

Off season
April 16 to December 24:
$1,325/week
10% each additional person up to 8
